Before buying equipment, identify your vehicle, the factory audio system, and the functions you want to keep. Compatibility must be checked for the actual vehicle and equipment combination.

Will a new stereo keep my factory controls?
Retention depends on the vehicle, receiver, and compatible interface. Steering-wheel controls, factory amplification, camera functions, and vehicle settings need separate review; touchscreen size alone does not establish compatibility.
What information helps define the installation?
Vehicle year, make, model, trim, and factory audio option.
Exact receiver, amplifier, speaker, and interface model numbers.
Features to retain, such as steering-wheel controls or a factory camera.
Manufacturer fitment documentation and the required mounting and wiring accessories.
Check more than the dashboard opening.
Review mounting depth, screen clearance, wiring adapters, antenna adapters, and factory-system integration. An equipment list should identify the intended function of each interface rather than assume every adapter is interchangeable.
Separate equipment planning from an accepted estimate.
An informational guide is not confirmation that a particular vehicle or installation can be accepted. The final scope needs vehicle-specific review, an estimate, and separate authorization before work. GhostCore’s paid appointments remain closed.
