GhostCore // Field notes

A better repair starts with better information.

Capture what the vehicle is doing before deciding what work it needs. This guide is for information only; GhostCore is not yet accepting paid diagnostic appointments.

Safety first: do not drive through a serious warning.

If the vehicle has an oil-pressure warning, overheating, loss of braking or steering ability, smoke, or another serious safety concern, follow the owner’s manual, stop in a safe location, and seek appropriate roadside or emergency assistance. Do not drive merely to obtain a fault-code reading.

Record the symptoms, not only the warning light.

  • Year, make, model, engine or powertrain, mileage, and any relevant modifications.
  • When the concern began, whether it is constant or intermittent, and the driving conditions when it appears.
  • Any exact dashboard messages, photos taken safely while parked, and recent repairs or battery work.
  • Available diagnostic trouble codes and accompanying scan information, if already obtained without unsafe operation.

A code identifies a system to investigate, not a part to replace.

Diagnostic trouble codes and scan data can help narrow a concern; they do not independently prove which component needs replacement. Vehicle-specific testing and service information are necessary before a repair recommendation or estimate.

Preserve useful information.

Avoid clearing codes or disconnecting a battery solely to turn off a warning: those actions can remove diagnostic context and alter emissions-readiness monitors. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s safety instructions and any qualified technician’s direction.

Plan a suitable mobile worksite.

Have the general service area and proposed private-property location ready. Permission, lawful use, access, weather, equipment needs, safety, and job-specific insurance approval must be reviewed. No roadway or curbside work; no public drop-off at GhostCore’s administrative address.

Learn before requesting service.

This guide is general planning information, not a remote diagnosis, a confirmed appointment, or authorization for compensated work. GhostCore’s paid appointments, intake, and payments remain closed. See the worksite requirements and published pricing reference.
